What is life coaching?
Life coaching aims to help you achieve clarity and confidence to work through any issues that are holding you back from living the life you want to live. It is not about someone telling you what to do and how you ought to live your life. You set the agenda, your coach is there to facilitate your journey and to help you define and achieve what you set out to.
How does life coaching work?
Life coaching works through a series of one to one sessions, which are confidential. Your coach will work with you to identify what areas you want to change in your life. It will help you to look at issues with a new perspective and take actions to change your life for the better. You are in the driving seat and your coach will work in partnership with you to make these positive changes.
Who has life coaching?
Life coaching is for anyone. If you want to make positive changes to your life and need to look at things from a new perspective, then coaching will help you to take action to live a happier successful life. If you have a specific goal you want to reach quickly, if you want to improve the quality of your work and home life and restore the balance, or if you need to regain you self-confidence then coaching could be the catalyst you need.
Is life coaching the same as Therapy?
It is different from therapy because therapy will deal in depth with what has happened in your past. Coaching will focus on the present and the future and will help you to take actions to move you forward to a happier successful life.
What are the benefits of telephone coaching?
96% of coaching is undertaken over the phone. It allows the client to be coached in their own surroundings at a time to suit them where they can be comfortable. There is no stress with travelling and therefore makes it very convenient. It also gives the client more choice in finding a coach that is compatible with them as they are not restricted to a location. One of the main reasons that telephone coaching is so popular is because it works.
How much life coaching will I need?
This totally depends on you. You set the agenda for the coaching. In the initial induction session I will work with you to define what you want to work on and get out of the coaching sessions. Together we then decide on what the initial focus areas will be. Clients often found that once they start to make changes in one area of their lives, then they can see other positive changes in areas they had not begun to work on.
Are my details passed onto anyone else?
No, the relationship between coach and client is totally confidential.
You offer a complementary discovery session – what is that like
During this session we will look at what issues and areas of your life you want to work. I will explain a bit more about how coaching works and the methods I use.
I will ask you to bring a goal to this session and we will spend about 20 minutes exploring and working on this. This will help you to decide if coaching is right for you and also if I am the right coach for you.
I will ask at the end if you would like to do some more work with me, there is no obligation and if you do decide to continue then we will set up some sessions.
